A dense concentration of ripe blackberry and juicy blueberry
aromas engulf the nose, along with just a touch of eucalyptus. The buoyant
entry fills the palate with bright flavors of just-picked huckleberry,
blackberry, Bing cherry and black currant. A layer of bittersweet chocolate, cedary
spice notes and pencil shavings weaves through the wine, adding depth and
interest to the plush flavors as they linger.
Here’s a wine that will pair perfectly with a grilled rib
eye steak served with Hasselback potatoes, or try it with sausage-stuffed
Portabella mushrooms sprinkled with freshly grated Romano cheese.
