Seductive layers of aromatics fill the nose with black currant, blackberry and toasty oak. The rich, briary entry showcases flavors of deep blackberry, Sweetheart cherry and violet wrapped with traces of cedary cigar box. As the wine lingers in the finish, hints of toasted cardamom and a mineral essence appear, adding further complexity and depth. Though delicious now, this Cabernet will continue to develop and evolve with additional bottle aging.
A classic beef Wellington or Chateaubriand will pair perfectly with the wine, as will a crown roast of pork with a side of spiced apple compote.
