A seamless fusion of dusty dark cherry, cedar, vanillin oak and a hint of cocoa fills the nose with tempting aromas. Spicy cedar notes balance the rich, ripe cherry entry. Red currant, plum and a trace of pomegranate and espresso join in, and then linger into the finish. Softening tannins and oak line the palate, giving the wine plenty of structure and aging potential.
A well-seasoned tri-tip served with crispy Hasselback potatoes with rosemary and garlic, or lasagna with pork sausage make ideal pairings for this delicious Cabernet.
