The nose suggests this is a serious-minded Zin, with aromas
of mixed dark fruit and hints of loamy soil and dusty tannins. The dark tones
continue on the palate with flavors of boysenberry, ripe mulberry, Black Beauty
plum and just a trace of eucalyptus. The solid oak structure contributes notes
of mocha and dark chocolate caramel that mingle with welcoming tannic acidity
to balance the rich flavors.
The perfect wine to choose when serving grilled lamb chops
with mint served over a bed of Moroccan couscous, or garlic braised short ribs
with red wine served with garlic mashed potatoes.
