Fruit-driven aromas of cherry cobbler sprinkled with
cinnamon and nutmeg mingle with traces of blackberry preserves. A soft, round
entry leads into a bright mid-palate, showcasing a blend of black currant,
Lambert cherry, boysenberry, blackberry and dark caramel. The spices found on
the nose reappear along with a hint of pepper. As the wine finishes, a dark
concentration of flavors lingers, exposing delicious mocha oak notes.
A good wine to match with balsamic pork chops smothered with
caramelized onions and served over creamy polenta, or five spice roast chicken
served with spicy rice.
