The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented with
native yeast in open top fermenters. The
resulting wine was aged for 30 months in French oak barrels and bottled

Layered, complex aromas of deep currant and blackberry
mingle with hints of cigar box, perfumey floral and just a kiss of herbal
notes. The silky entry flows into the heart of the wine, revealing a plush
mouthfeel, supple tannins and striations of oak. Bing cherry and red and black
currant are laced with rich cedar that stays with the fruit through the long
finish.
A terrific wine to open when serving beef stroganoff, or Cabernet-braised
lamb shoulder with creamy polenta.
