From the first whiff, this classic Cabernet flexes its
muscles. The dark fruit aromatics fuse with subtle spices to showcase the
seductive nose. The round entry and mouthfeel open to robust yet refined
flavors--a beam of fresh cherry and blackberry provides brightness, while a
spicy cedar essence, mocha-laced oak and supple tannins lend structure and
depth. At the finish, traces of black currant and cocoa emerge as the wine
lingers. If enjoyed before 2019, let the wine breathe or decant up to 30
minutes before serving.
This sophisticated and robust Cab deserves to be paired with
a prime New York strip lightly glazed with truffle butter, or lamb Wellington
with a side of duxelles risotto.
Intense,
refined aromatics of black-skinned fruit, tobacco and earth notes pique
interest and engage the senses. The rich, sophisticated flavors that follow do not
disappoint. A velvety entry quickly transforms to reveal a spicy cedar-infused
texture layered with black currant, wild blackberry and a touch of eucalyptus.
Supple tannins and integrated oak remain in the background, framing the
sumptuous yet balanced flavors. Built to age, this wine is an ideal candidate
for your cellar, but is also exceptional now when given time to breathe.
A
great wine to savor with your favorite cigar, it will also pair perfectly with
rack of lamb encrusted with garlic and rosemary, or seared duck breast served
with Cumberland sauce.
