This elegant wine presents classic aromatics of ripe blackberry and
dark currant layered with notes of forest floor and oak. A rich mouthfeel and
spicy texture offer brambly blackberry woven with spicy cedar and hints of
sassafras. The solid structure, which lingers in the finish, softens as the
wine has time to breathe. An excellent cellar candidate, this Cab can be also
enjoyed now when decanted before serving.
Steak au poivre is a perfect pairing, as is venison tenderloin with
berry sauce and creamy potatoes.
